




Phnom Bok is located approximately 25 kilometers northeast of Siem Reap, Cambodia.
Phnom Bok is an ancient temple built by King Yasovarman I in the late 9th century. It is dedicated to the Hindu deities Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. The temple's sandstone and laterite structures showcase the architectural brilliance of the Khmer Empire. Visitors can enjoy a quiet and reflective atmosphere away from the more crowded Angkor temples.
Admission to Phnom Bok is included in the Angkor Pass.
At the base of Phnom Bok, there are drink stalls and toilets available. The climb to the top involves over 600 steps, and the area is shaded by trees, providing a comfortable ascent.
Visitors can hire a tuk-tuk, taxi, or rent a bicycle or motorbike from Siem Reap. The scenic drive takes about an hour, passing through picturesque Cambodian countryside, charming villages, and lush rice paddies.
Nearby attractions include Banteay Samré, Chau Srei Vibol, Eastern Mebon, Banteay Srei Butterfly Centre, and Ta Som.
