The Northern Angkor Pagoda is located in Kravan village, Nokor Thom commune, Siem Reap City, Cambodia, just 6 kilometers from Angkor Wat.
The Northern Angkor Pagoda, established in 1432 AD, is a significant religious site in Siem Reap. It was transformed from a temple into a Buddhist pagoda by monks who stayed behind when the capital moved to Phnom Penh. The pagoda flourished under King Preah Ang Chan in the 16th century and houses sacred Buddha statues, including the revered Preah Ang Chek and Preah Ang Chom.
Entrance to the pagoda is free, but donations are appreciated to help with maintenance and support the monks.
The Northern Angkor Pagoda is easily accessible by tuk-tuk, taxi, or bicycle from Siem Reap City. It's located near the Angkor Wat complex, making it a convenient stop for visitors exploring the area.
